What is black tea? Black tea is a fully fermented tea. Fermentation changes the dark green leaves into dark brown, develop the flavors, and gives the dark red color to the liquor.

what are the types of black tea? Black tea is divided into two types on the basis of its manufacturing. People also categorized them according to their grown region too.

On manufacturing basis, we can divide black tea into two types - Orthodox and CTC.

What is orthodox tea mean? The tea prepared by the traditional method is called orthodox tea. Orthodox tea is a full fermented black tea with a high level of antioxidants.

What is CTC tea? CTC tea is a full ferment granular-shaped black tea. Made by the crush, tear, and curl method.

Based on regions, we can divide them into Assam tea, Darjeeling tea, Ceylon(Sri Lankan tea), and Kenyan tea.

Assam tea Assam tea is known for its strong taste and full body cup due to the lateritic soil and 2600 mm to 3200mm annual rainfall.

Ceylon tea Ceylon tea or Srilankan tea has a robust leafy taste and dark color which poses a sweet flavor.
